COMPOSITE REPAIRS

Composites are a great material for aircraft structures as they are strong, light, do not corrode and can be formed into any shape. But they do have some disadvantages for example, a small puncture can allow moisture into the core adding weight and weakening the structure. Dropping a tool onto a fairing or flight control can delaminate it which has resulted in catastrophic failure of the part. We have trained composite technicians who inspect and repair composites.
